Term 3 Week 2

Every morning Year 5 have Literacy groups. Some of the books that we are reading are “Holes” by Louis Sachar, “Bridge to Terabithia” by Katherine Paterson and “Onion Tears” by Diana Kidd. Our class novel is “Wonder” by R.J Palacio.

This week in Mathematics we have been focusing on division. We have become confident problem solvers of division problems using various mental strategies.

This term in Sport we have been taking part in Dance lessons. Here are some photos of us doing the Macarena and the Limbo.

In H.S.I.E we have been studying Antarctica and in a couple of weeks time we will be talking to an Aerodrome Plant Operator who is working at Casey Station, Antarctica. We have looked at Casey Station through GoogleEarth and recently used a new app on our iPads called Nearpod.
