Every morning Year 5 come in and do silent
reading.
For writing this week we have been preparing
information reports on an Antarctic animal of our choice.
In Maths this week Year 5 completed our multiplication
and division unit. We also started looking at angles. We couldn’t believe how
many angles there are; right angle, acute angle, obtuse angle, reflex angle and
revolution angle.
In sport we did a dance called stomp using
sport equipment. Here are some photos!
In HSIE and Science we have been working
through our Earthscapes and Antarctica units. Next week we will be doing a
science experiment which we are all looking forward to.
On Tuesday we were fortunate enough to watch the NED Show. NED is a cartoon character whose name is an acronym for Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best. The show was hosted by one lady named Jessica, she had amazing yo-yo tricks. Our school has now assigned a yo-yo zone for students to work at their yo-yo tricks.
